World of Warcraft is one of the most popular gaming franchises from Blizzard among Overwatch and various other games. An extension to the series, Warcraft Arclight Rumble has finally been announced by the company, and here is all we know about the game.
Warcraft Arclight Rumble – Release Date
Unfortunately, among the barrage of news that was released about the game, the release date wasn’t one of them. When it came to the release of the game, all blizzard said was that the beta access for the game will come along ‘soon’. Although knowing the nature of the mobile games, the first mobile game in the Warcraft franchise is likely to come faster than you think.
Also, there is already an option to pre-register for the game on Google Play that grants you a chance at early access. Players can already go ahead and click on this button and hopefully, the game will be coming very soon to your own mobiles.
Gameplay
During the announcement for Warcraft Arclight Rumble on May 3, 2022, there were three different types of trailers released for the game. There was an announcement trailer, a gameplay trailer, and the developer overview. All three of these were combined in one video which can be watched below.
As you can see, Blizzard hasn’t just gone ahead and placed their PC game into mobiles. They have actually used the most common art style in mobile games which is much similar to Clash of Clans or Clash Royale. The game also functions as a tower defense where, instead of defending towers, players can use cards to summon various different kinds of units to defend their territory. Blizzard has labeled it as a “Tower Offense” mode.
As per the developers, the game has a huge PvE campaign including raids and dungeons while there is also PvP. This is everything you’d expect from a Warcraft game, on your phone. It features a ton of minis that have their own personality and style to them and they all think they’re the coolest.
There are 5 ‘families’ in the game which are The Noble Alliance, The Proud Horde, The Blackrock, The Undead, and Beasts. Since there are so many troops and different figures, there need to be leaders to lead them. Every leader has their unique traits, some buffing ground units, and some buffing the sky units. This leads to an insane amount of strategy required in Warcraft Arclight Rumble.
