If you have played any other ability-based game, you would know what a Tank type character is, Gunlancer fits in this category like a glove. He is debatably the best tank in Lost Ark.
Not only does he have shields and perks that can disrupt the status effects of his allies, but he also has damaged a high damage stat, so you kind of get the best of both worlds with this one.
The only drawback is that he’s slow so if you like mobility, Gunlancer is not for you. He also suffers from high mana costs that force players to think twice while using their spells.
Lost Ark does not provide much in the name of support classes. In fact, the game is launching with only two of them, but they are really effective. Bard has everything a support class would want. She has healed, offensive and defensive buffs and shields.
If you’re looking to participate in the action that Lost Ark provides, without spending much time upgrading your items, Bard is the best bet.
If the name wasn’t obvious enough, she is a ranged character that uses magic spells and enchantments to inflict effect attacks on enemies. Sorceress offers more customizability with additional build paths you can take to tune your gameplay as per preferences.
What makes her fun to play is the visual effects and particles appearing on the battleground as you defeat your enemies.
Scrapper does not have any weaknesses. Actually. She has good damage, mobility, survivability, and utility and is also easy to master. However, for some, her weakness is the same as her strength: Being a jack of all trades, but a master of none.
With the immense variety of playstyles she provides, it’s often hard for players to focus on one, making the character hard on higher levels.
But if you’re a new player (which you probably are) this is a great class to start off with, while you figure out the basics of the game.
Not to be confused with Gunlancer, Gunslinger has a variety of abilities for all ranges. She has three gun types: pistols, shotgun, and an assault rifle. , so you can take fights in close range, mid-range, and also long-range, without any issues.
If you feel like you don’t want to limit yourself to a single playstyle and want to engage in combat of all ranges, Gunslinger is perfect for you. Obviously, you will need to play her and spend time mastering her abilities to properly play her, but who doesn’t like a challenge, right?
So that was our top 5 classes to main in Lost Ark. We took care to include all playstyles, but if you still find something else that suits you better, be sure to let us know!
