COD Modern Warfare II(2) Beta: How To Use & Throw Grenades

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is in its Beta phase and is the prequel to the 2019 Call of Duty Modern Warfare. With the open beta running until the 26th, players are experimenting with the game’s changes and updated mechanics. The game has a new Gunsmith, Perks System, Footsteps and Slides Update, Gun-Handling, and an Advanced AI.

Grenades are an integral part of any First-Person Shooter Game. All Call of Duty games have featured grenades, and most games have almost the same mechanic for using them. In this article, we will guide you on how to use and throw a grenade in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. How To Use & Throw Grenades

Grenades can be cooked and thrown. That is, the grenade can be thrown with a short timespan for the enemy to react with. Cooking means holding the grenade in your hands after releasing its lever. It will kill you if you hold it too long. You can Throw back a lethal grenade using the R1/Right Bumper Button on the PlayStation or Xbox Consoles and G key on PC.

  • For Lethal Grenades, use the R1/Right Bumper Button on the PlayStation or Xbox Consoles. For PC it is most commonly used with the Middle Mouse Button or the G key. Here are the Lethal Grenades in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2:
    • Frag Grenade
    • Semtex
    • Thermite
    • C4
    • Throwing Knife
    • Molotov Cocktail
  • For Non-Lethal/Tactical Grenades, use the L1/Left Bumper Button on the PlayStation or Xbox Consoles. For PC it is most commonly used with the Q key. Here are the Non-Lethal/Tactical Grenades in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2:
    • Flash Grenade
    • Decoy Grenade
    • Stun Grenade
    • Smoke Grenade
    • Tear Gas
    • Snapshot Grenade
