You might have seen the “drive.google.com refused to connect” when using google sheets, this error arises whenever the user tries to use an ad on Google Sheets while being signed in with multiple Gmail accounts in your web browser.
The error causes Google Sheets to crash with an abrupt error prompt. This can be very annoying and in some cases even end up in loss of data or the file. So today we bring you this guide to tell you the very simple fix to this error.
How to Resolve The Error
The fix for this is actually really simple and easy to understand so you should be able to use the various add-ons without the error popping up. Here is what you should do –
- Open Google Chrome
- Open a New Incognito Tab – On the top right of your browser, you will see 3 dots, click on these 3 dots to find the option to open a new incognito tab. Alternatively, you can also open a new incognito window using the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + n on windows and ⌘ + Shift + n on mac.
- Sign In – In the incognito tab, you will have to log in again, make sure you sign in using the Gmail account used to install the add-on. Also, keep in mind to only log in from a single account otherwise the error will again start to pop up.
- You can sign out of multiple accounts at once using the accounts.google.com/logout link and your issue should be resolved. However, we do not recommend this method as the error will keep on arising as soon you sign in using multiple accounts. You would have to log in again and again with different accounts and sign out of them if you use this method.
