Elden Ring: All New Enemies and Weapons Explained (List)

Elden Ring is a significant action role-playing videogame from FromSoftware, released by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Hidetaka Miyazaki developed the game, which was created in partnership with fantasy author George R. R. Martin, who provided the scenario for the game. On February 25, 2022, Elden Ring will be launched on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Background:

Rise, Tarnished, and be inspired by grace to wield the might of the Elden Ring and rule the Lands Between as an Elden Lord. The Elden Ring, the foundation of the Erdtree, has been broken in the Lands Between, governed by Queen Marika the Eternal.

The crazy stain of their incredible ability provoked a war: The Shattering. Marika’s descendants, all demigods, grabbed the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the terrible disgrace of their newfound might triggered a war: The Shattering is a conflict that resulted in the Greater Will’s departure.

The Tarnished, who was rejected by gold’s grace and exiled from the Lands Between, will now receive grace’s direction. Take the route to the Lands Between across the misty sea, where you will stand before the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord.

Elden Ring Release Date:

On February 25, 2022, Elden Ring will be released. It was supposed to be released in January; however, FromSoftware announced a brief postponement in October 2021. “The game’s richness and strategic options surpassed early assumptions,” remarked From in October.

Elden Ring Weapons:

Dagger:

Daggers are rapid, short-range weapons that make up for their poor damage by delivering a barrage of hits swiftly. As a result, they may not be the most significant beginner armaments. They rely on vital technical skills to perform backstabs and counterattacks (a high-damage blow following a successful block) to use the severe critical damage.

Straight Sword:

With a range of excellent slicing and thrusting strikes, this primary sword type scales with strength and is a fair compromise between damage and power. Its simplicity is aided by the fact that it can utilize practically every Ashes of War talent, allowing it to supplement its typically limited attacking options with various other abilities.

The Longsword is the only one we’ve seen so far, and it’s what it sounds like – a plain, long sword. This choice gives you a bit more mobility, but you’ll probably want to have a shield on your other hand to help you stay close enough to inflict damage without taking too many risks.

Greatswords:

These are larger blades, as the name implies. Mobility and speed are sacrificed in exchange for more significant, more destructive strikes. The Bloody Wolf’s initial weapon is the Bastard Sword, which you may purchase from Merchant Kale. It increases with agility and endurance and maybe boosted by a variety of Ashes of War. It’s difficult to time the wind up between incoming hits, but it may do a lot of damage if you get it right.

Curved Swords:

A curved blade concentrates on cutting damage in return for diversity, offering you speedier attacks. The trade-off is that they can use a lot of Ashes of War as a weapon, but they can’t use anything and everything that deals with the piercing threat. There are two varieties of Scimitar in the game right now: the Warrior class pair and the one you can buy from Merchant Kale. The Scimitar presently has the Spinning Slash talent, which allows you to perform a more decisive, spinning slash strike.

Katana:

Another specialized sword type concentrates on slash and thrust effectiveness while also inflicting hemorrhaging impacts in the past. The Dragonscale Blade is the only one we’ve seen so far, and it’s a drop from the Stonedigger Troll monster in the Limgrace Tunnels location. It features the Hailstorm Sword talent, which contributes ice and electrical damage to the blade and scales with a more extensive range of stats – Strength, Dexterity, Faith, and Arcane.

Hammers:

Hammer-type tools, such as the club that the Prophet class starts with, are sluggish and heavy-hitting. The club, which may also be purchased from Merchant Kale, scales quite well with power. You can use a variety of Ashe’s to improve its assaults, but you can’t use anything with a penetrating effect because it’s a blunt weapon.

Axes:

These large, one-handed weaponry have a wide range of attack possibilities and often deal much damage. The Champion class begins with a Battle Axe, which has the ability Frenzy, which allows you to strike for as long as you hold the button down or until you run out of FP, which fuels spells and capabilities. The Ashes of War may also be used to add a variety of various talents.

Spears:

The most significant advantage of a spear weapon is the additional range it provides. The Enchanted Knight’s Winged Spear starts with Strength and Dexterity scaling and is ideal for long-range piercing blows. It also comes with the Charge Forth skill, which allows you to unleash a series of faster, heavier thrusts forward for increased damage. You can also equip a variety of extra abilities to expand your possibilities.

Light bows:

It’s unclear if the term ‘Light bow’ reveals the existence of a Heavy bow, but considering previous FromSoftware titles, it’s feasible, though not probable. The Short bow, which can be purchased from Merchant Kale, is currently the only one we’ve seen. It’s also unknown if you’ll be able to adjust this ranged choice with other Ashes of War talents. While none were found in the network test, the weapon does appear in the menu, indicating that it is feasible. The Firing Position talent on the Short bow allows you to shoot a more devastating shot to break through an enemy’s defenses.
