Fall Guys, a well-renowned massively multiplayer party royale game by Mediatonic and Epic Games, is now F2P (free-to-play) on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

With going free for all, the game brought numerous bugs and glitches. Many players have voiced concern over “Failed to Login” errors, problems with joining lobbies, and even difficulties moving past the loading page.

The game has also been crashing and freezing for certain players. There is nothing worse than having your game crash on you in the middle of a match. It might be challenging to identify this issue at times. However, there are some actions that players can try and fix the problem, and enjoy the game.

Rebooting your PC is probably the first step in any effective troubleshooting procedure. Sometimes, it just takes a restart to fix the glitch that is keeping the game from running properly.

Updating Windows and Graphics Drivers

It’s always a good practice to ensure that your PC is running the latest Windows build version. Head over to settings and install any pending updates to Windows. Updating your graphics drivers may also help eliminate any errors that are keeping the game from running as it should.

Lower Graphics Settings

When a game is graphically too demanding for your GPU, it may occasionally freeze. If you’re unsure if your rig satisfies the demands of the game, try reducing the in-game graphics settings.

Close Unnecessary Background Tasks

You don’t need your web browser’s update service running in the background while you are gaming. Open Task Manager and kill the processes that you feel are eating up resources. This not only frees up RAM but also helps your CPU run more efficiently.

Verify Game Files

A corrupted or missing file may cause the game to crash at certain times. You may verify the game files to check the same.

If you have installed the game from the Epic Games Launcher, navigate to the library. Find Fall Guys, and hit verify in the menu after clicking the three dots. This might take some time, depending on your hardware, and will replace any corrupted files.

Reinstall the Game

If none of the above mentioned methods seems to help, you may try reinstalling the game. This resets all of the game’s data and removes the downloaded and locally stored cache. After uninstalling, download the game and try again.
