How to fix this error?
- Go to the library in Steam.
- Locate your game, right-click it, and then select properties.
- Launch options can be found in the General section. Select it by clicking on it.
- Close it after typing “-dx11”.
- Right-click the game icon on your desktop and select properties.
- Disable on-screen optimizations by clicking compatibility and then running as administrator.
- Right-click the game on Steam and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
- Remove the tick from the enable steam overlay option in general.
- Now go to Local Files and check the integrity of the game files.
- Wait for it to complete the verification process before starting the game.
- Locate the game and right-click to see its properties.

Modifying Values in Appdata Folder
- Go to Appdata folder by Navigating through This PC -> C drive -> Users -> “Your PC Name” -> Appdata.
- Appdata folder is hidden so make sure you have enabled show hidden files and folder.
- Now Inside Roaming you will find Total Warhammer 3 folder directly or inside some other folder like creative assembly.
- Delete the whole folder.
- If Deleting the folder does not work then open the game and let it crash.
- This folder will again be there.
- Now go to warhammer folder find the file which has scripts and values related to resolution.
- There set full screen true as false and save.
- Delete Logs folder and files if available.
- Restart Steam and you are good to go.
Some Additional Steps May Help
- Type “regedit” in the Windows + R box.
- Expand HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > System > CurrentControllerSet > Control > Graphics Driver HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > System > CurrentControllerSet > Control > Graphics Driver
- TdrWatch can be found under graphics drivers.
- TDR Recovery should be set to 1 and OK should be pressed.
- Install latest graphics driver for your graphics card.
- Remove Overlays of discord, MSI Afterburner and more.
