If you’re into the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus game and are confused as to how you can craft items like Smoke Bombs and Sticky Globs to use against your enemies when in battle, here’s a quick guide explaining how you can do just that.
To craft these specific items, however, you will need a material called Caster Fern, a peculiar green little leaf that is often hard to spot out in the vast open world of Hisui.
But do not worry, you don’t have to around the whole map checking each leaf you come along. Conveniently, the game spawns a bunch of these in one specific location, which you need to find and you’re good to go.
Where to find Caster Fern
To find Caster Fern, you need to navigate to Crimson Mirelands, where you will find an area on the map called Sludge Mound. Once there, you need to go exploring towards the west (or the left side) from this location and look for the multiple ponds that are around this location.
There spawn haystacks near these ponds, which can be destroyed. Note that once you destroy these haystacks, you will have to throw one of your Pokemon at it to collect the Caster Fern.
If you don’t find enough in one trip, you can use this location to farm Caster Fern too, by returning to Jubilife Village and coming back here with the haystack back in their places.
How to buy Caster Fern
Now that you have collected enough Caster Fern once, you don’t necessarily have to keep making this tedious journey to find more of those. You can simply buy Caster Fern from Jubilife Village’s Craftworks for 140 Poke dollars a piece.
The shop obviously has an unlimited supply of them, so you don’t have to worry about running out of Caster Fern ever again.
