I have horrible frame drops and seems bottlenecks from Icarus. The game will play fine around 90 FPS on max settings [ray tracking off] then out of nowhere, drop to 5 FPS. The quickest way to fix it is to get the game off of my screen by covering it with Edge or another app then resume the game and it will be fixed for a few mIns. It did not happen in the beta but started happening when the game was released. My system is not a low end PC. I have a Ryzen 5950x 16 core 32 thread, Radeon 6900 XT, 64 GB Corsair Vengeance, MSI A-Pro x570 MB, 1 M.2 and 3 SSDs, Samsung Odessy G9 32:9 monitor.
The reason is the game, Icarus is not highly optimized but you can fix these issues by reducing the game resolution or reducing in-game settings a little bit. You can also try cleaning your pc and make sure that it doesn’t have any viruses or miners running in the bg.
