This guide is created for you to start running or installing android apps on your Windows 11 machine. Everyone wanted this feature for so long, but we can finally do this by using windows inbuilt features.
Running Android applications on a windows 11 machine is quite difficult for new users as many people are unfamiliar with the new windows 11 settings and Insider program. But we will break down the guide for you.
The article will contain three methods completely unrelated to each other. You can use whatever method you find easy to use. So without wasting your time, let’s get started.
Method 1: Install Android Apps via Windows Insider Beta Builds
If you want to install and run android applications natively, you might need to sign up or enter the windows insider beta program. I suggest you stay on Stable builds if you are unfamiliar with the windows installation process as you might break something. There are a few requirements that you need to follow to get started.
- You need build 22000.282 or higher
- Enable hardware virtualization.
- Update Microsoft Store to latest version. You need to have atleast version 22110.1402.6.0.
If all of the requirements above are met, you can continue entering windows insider. You can follow any guide online that will help you join the windows insider program. It’s pretty easy to do.
How to Install Android Apps via Amazon App Store in Windows 11
Search “Store” in Windows Search, then click the first result. After that, search “Amazon Appstore” Now download and install the application.

You will now see a simple popup, as shown below. Click Set Up and follow the process. After that, restart your PC.

Now Register a new amazon account if you don’t have one or login via the existing one to get started with the rest of the process.

Once everything is set up, Search for the application you like to install. Then click install, and you are good to go.
Method 2: Install Android Apps on Windows 11 via WSA Pacman Github

WSA Stands for Windows Subsystem for Android. This simple layer was implemented in Windows 11 to run the android applications natively. So windows added Amazon Appstore as a GUI to manage and install applications.
If you don’t want to switch to beta channels, this opensource project might come in handy for you because WSA Pacman offers many simple and accessible features to use. So without wasting your time, I will let you follow the rest of the guide.
- First Download WSA Pacman Github Latest version.
- After that Install the application by running the installer.
- Now Locate any APK file you like to install on your system and you are good to go.
Method 3: Use Android Emulators like Bluestacks

This method is entirely different from the other two methods mentioned above. If you don’t like to go through the headache above, you can download android emulators on your windows machine and start using android applications.
All you have to do is download and install Bluestacks from the official website and start using whatever applications you enjoy.
