What is Tiny10?
Windows 10 was great when it launched. But with time, Microsoft updated the windows and added more and more features that created Bloatware which basically refers to windows getting bloated because of all the new features. Tiny10 can be considered as a stripped-down version of Windows 10. It is not an official Microsoft product. It is an individual project developed by NTDEV.
Tiny10 aims at removing all the unnecessary and unrequired features from Windows10. This means the user can run Windows10 smoothly on a low-end computer. To put it in perspective, Tiny10 takes around 5.2GB of disk space on a 32-bit system while windows10 takes up to 22GB of disk space. This, in itself, speaks a lot about Tiny10. Reducing the size by 17GB is no menial task. Tiny10 has also removed all the major applications from Windows10 except Notepad and WordPad. Users will have to install the apps they desire.
The difference between the performance, disk space and RAM required by Windows10 and Tiny10 is significantly big. So, if you have a low-end device, Tiny10 is for you!
How to Install and Use Tiny10
Installation for Tiny10 is fairly simple. Follow the following steps to install and use Tiny10:
- First of all, determine the kind of system you’re on and download the ISO image of Tiny10 based on it. Download here for a 32-bit system or a 64-bit system. Both the files have been tested and had no red flags.
- Head over to Rufus and download it. Once done, open Rufus, select the USB Drive that you want to install the windows in and select the ISO Image. Select the File System as NTFS and click “Start”.
- After that, make sure the USB Drive is plugged into the target PC and restart it. Press the boot key on restart. If you don’t know the boot key for your system, it can easily be found on the internet by searching for the boot key for your model. Select the USB drive and hit Enter.
- Once this is done, Windows will begin with the normal Installation procedure similar to Windows10. It will ask you to select the drive, Language, keyboard type, etc. Once all of this is done, you’ll be booted into Tiny10 and you can start using it.
This is how to install and use Tiny10 on any device. As soon as you’re booted up, you’ll be able to see the difference between Windows10 and Tiny10.
