But you will get a great Fast travel feature that will help you travel long distances but has limited to a cooldown of 1 hour or use the azop currency to fast travel.

Questing and Missions

Talking about Fast leveling up, you can do several types of tasks. You can do faction missions, town tasks, side missions, and the main story quest.

Levels: The Faction missions will be opened up at Level 10 when you choose a faction to join first. You can do a category of tasks for the tasks, which will be discussed in more below.
The tasks are divided into two categories which are PVE and PVP.

Faction Tasks: For PVE tasks, you need to kill the enemies, collect some Trinkets, clear an area. And for PVP, you need to travel to another settlement, clearing an area, and you will opt-in PVP for higher rewards.

Faction Quests and Currency: The tasks are easy to do, but you will see some distractions in the game, which you must avoid. After you complete these tasks, they will provide you experience and Factions currency that you will use to Purchase faction-specific gears.

Experience: To get further experience, which you will find a bulletin board near Townhall. There will be tasks similar to faction quests that involve crafting, gathering, and slaying, which can be completed easily.

Side Missions: The game also has some side missions found in each settlement, which are linked with some side progressions. You can level up your campsite or unlock a new gear slot for your character by completing this.

Main Missions: The Main missions are your milestones within your leveling journey. And by completing these missions, there will be some huge unlocks that will enhance your characters.

Gears And Armors

When it comes to gear in New World, you have plenty of options to choose from. They vary from common to legendary gears. As the items become rarer, they gain more bonuses which makes them more powerful.

These gears will help you to increase avoid damage or cause you to reduce cooldown whenever you deal damage.

Slots – In terms of slots for your character, you have 2 Weapon slots and 5 Armor slots: your hand, body, legs, gloves, and feet. And 3 accessories slots, 3 bag slots, and a shield slot.

Armor Weights – Speaking of Armor Weights, you have 3 different types of weight that you equip when you wear armor. There are light, medium, and heavy, and depending on how you mix these up, you will know better to switch between these three categories.

Dodge and Pass Bonuses – when you choose between three armor weights between light, medium, and heavy categories, these will define your dodge and pass bonuses.

Light CategoryFast Dodge, +20% Damage Increase
Medium CategorySlow Dodge, + 10% Damage Increase, 10% Longer Duration to DeBuff
Heavy CategorySlowest Dodge, +15% Block Increase, +20% Duration of Debuff

So as you see, you will have to manage these categories on your own. It depends upon you to get to know what damage you will give or take.

Inventory Weights – There is also an Inventory Weight where you can craft materials, Inventory weapons, etc., and you will end up with a full inventory. At the same time, you do extra bonuses and stuff.

To fix this, along the way, you will have to Unlock new bags with higher Inventory storage, which will increase your carrying capacity. Keep in mind that if your inventory bag is full, you will move extremely slow and take lots of resources to fast travel.

Storage Shed – Another way to eliminate filling up your Inventory weight is to use Storage Shed, which has a huge capacity. The Storage Shed is actually your bank. They have their own capacity. But these are not linked to each other.

Each storage shed is completely separate from one another. So if you store something in Everfall, it will not be available in Monarchs Bluff (Monarchs Bluff is fast travel which costs 5 azoth every 100 meters and 1 azoth per 100 meters.)

Levels and Progressions

There are great progressions in this game, and with each level, you will experience lots of things with a level cap of 60. Each level will give you 3 Attribute points to spend in various categories to help define your character.

Strength: This increases your damage with swords, axes, war hammers, etc., and increases Dexterity-based Weapons.

Dexterity: This increases your damage of Spears, Musket, Bows, etc., and slightly increases strength-based weapons.

Intelligence: This increases your damage to Staffs and Gauntlets. It also increases the effectiveness of any magical weapons perks if it has. So this option is quite useful if you have magical weapons to use for.

Focus: This Increases your mana regeneration rate and also increases your life staff’s Effectiveness. So if someone wants to heal, this one works best.

Constitution: This increases your overall health, so better to use this if you want to maximize your health.

Combat

Combat is an action-based system in the New World, where you will be needed to manage stamina, use light attacks, heavy attacks, and use skills.

So when you are in combat with the enemies, it’s crucial to schedule your attack instead of spamming with the weapons, just like everyone does in survival games.

So make sure you take care of all these things while in a fight, choose your best weapon types, skills that will give you mastery points later.

Class System

Class here means what type of armors and weapons you are using. There are many different ways to build your character by getting up different gears with different strengths and weaknesses.

As we called Mastery points on the combat part, New world offers a mastery system for weapons that give players 2 skill trees per weapon to add the points into them each time they level.

These trees are typically split into two styles – Summersplit between PVP and PVE, and the other is split between dealing damage or healing. You can split your points in these two trees. You can pair up the weapons with one another.

At the end of the day, these weapons will decide how your character has used the weapon. And remember, you cannot use the Sheild with another weapon. The shield can only be used with the Sword.

Weapons that can be used in Pairs –

  • Warhammer
  • Greataxe
  • Life Staff
  • Fire Staff
  • Sword
  • Rapier
  • Spear
  • Hatchet
  • Bow
  • Musket
  • Ice Grauntlet
  • Shield

Faction System

When you start, you have to choose correctly, which is a critical decision you have to make while choosing factions.

If you want to play with friends, make sure you all picked the same factions; otherwise, you will be opponents with the friends in the world, and you would not be entered into the same force and different sides of the war.

There are currently 3 types of factions that are available to choose from, which are – Marauders (Dominating and Controlling), the Syndicate (secretive, illu), and the Covenant (religious).

So this is very important that you choose your best from the beginning.

Crafting

The Crafting System in the New World is fascinating and cool. It can allow you to craft in such an interesting way. The gathering stuff is laid back is fun to do.

So if you are creating items, you have all the materials. You can also add Azoth to the process to make the item of a higher rarety. other trade skills can be seen through the image below –

As you level up all your crafting skills, you can access more powerful recipes, so it’s recommended to only craft the items that will benefit you.

I hope this Beginners’ guide helped you understand all the basic stuff about the New World, which has many points to follow to be a master at this game.
