V Rising | Top 10 Best Tips and Tricks For Beginners (2022)

V Rising is a survival game where you spawn as a weak vampire and you’re supposed to hunt for blood, kill enemies (which may be other players in certain circumstances), and rise to power while conquering this amazingly designed goth world. And, since the vampires hate the sun, it is probably your worst enemy in this game as well.

It is an open-world game that has a huge world for the players to explore. With a game of this size and amount of items, tools, etc. in the game, it is common for players to easily get overwhelmed. This V Rising guide will help you with 10 beginner tips and tricks to help you early in the game. Let’s get started.

Beginner Tips and Tricks in V Rising

This is a beginner tips and tricks guide. If you’ve already been playing the game for a while, there’s a high chance that you will already know what’s mentioned here. This article aims to help the new players be a little less overwhelmed in this vast world.

#1 – Collect Everything

This tip applies to most of the open-world games but if you’re new to the genre, the best tip anyone can give you is to collect everything in your way. The game offers you a lot of items at the start that can’t be used instantly. A significant amount of players throw away some of these items and this is probably the worst mistake you can make.

Every item, no matter what it is, needs to be picked up during the early game. The only time when you should leave an item behind is when your inventory is full and all of the things in it are better than the item on the ground. As you progress the game, there will be items that are useless to you, and that’s when you can stop picking them up.

#2 – Check Everything

Related to the first tip, there are multiple spots around the map where you can press F to check them. These are little containers that don’t give a huge amount of loot but in the early game, everything counts. So, make sure you move through every corner of the map and look out for these spots.

#3 – Faster Resource Gathering

Resource gathering will be one of the main things that will take the most of your time in this game. While it will always be the most time-consuming action, there are ways you can make it a little bit easier and faster for you.

First, you can head over to your settings and then Controls and bind a second key on your keyboard for the primary action of your weapons. This way, you won’t have to keep using your index finger on the mouse and you can switch between the two.

Second, in this game, you can use your skills in some of the weapons like the mace, sword, etc. to farm the resources much faster. At first, this might not seem like it’s helping much but all of the farming combined, it’s a lot.

#4 – Jumping Down Cliffs

A lot of new players don’t know that you can actually press Shift while jumping down a cliff. This is shown in the tutorial but some people miss it. Jumping using Shift is very efficient when it comes to the time taken and you can also jump inside other people’s bases using this if they aren’t covered well.

#5 – Multiplayer Boss Fights

While being a tip, this can kind of be considered an exploit and might be removed from the game soon. If you’re someone who doesn’t like using cheesy ways that aren’t intended by the game, you can skip this trick.

While fighting a boss in multiplayer or with your friends, you can actually go out of the battle zone. Keep going farther until the sword icon in the bottom right disappears and then you can regenerate your health. Once done, you can go back to the battle and ask your friends to do the same. This way, all of you can regenerate health and the boss fights become much easier.

#6 – Proper Floor Tiles

This game actually has synergy between the floor tiles and the item that you place in the room. Certain floor times can be used for certain items to make the cost of making items decrease by 25%. This saves you an insane amount of material. So, as far as you have the required floor tile unlocked, make sure you use it.

One thing to note with this method is that it doesn’t count if you only have a couple of required floor tiles around the item. The whole room needs to be made with that particular tile for this method to work.

#7 – Group Item Pickup

This is another finger-saving tip for all the players out there. There are times when there are a bunch of items on the floor that you need to pick up. Unlike other games, V Rising allows you to hold the F key to pick up all of the items around you. This is much easier and doesn’t give you Carpal Tunnel.

#8 – Fish Fish Fish

The fishing ability is unlocked very early on in the game but a lot of people decide to not waste their time on it because the fish oil isn’t a commodity that is required early game. Some people also don’t like fishing in games in general, but this is another mistake made by a lot of players.

Fish Oil is one of the most sort-after commodities in the late game. If you don’t fish every now and then, there will be a time when you will have to spend hours on end to get the required fish oil. So, it is recommended to fish every time you have some free time to spare.

#9 – Different Mount Speed

A lot of players aren’t aware of this but all the mounts in the game have different speeds. This is felt especially in the PvP servers where if you’re chasing someone, they’re faster than you and there is nothing you can do to catch up. A few points of difference in a mount’s speed can make all the difference.

If you come across a mount that has a higher speed than you’ve ever seen, you can feed them some water so they don’t die overnight. Their speed can be checked by pressing Tab while you’re riding the mount.

#10 – Bonus Weapon Damage

Different kinds of weapons can do bonus damage to different kinds of enemies. For example, Reaper can do bonus damage to the Undead, Spear can do bonus damage to creatures, and the swords are really good for PvP. Bows don’t have any bonus damage like this. So, when you’re heading into battle, make sure you choose your weapon wisely.

That is all for the basic tips and tricks for beginners in V Rising. Hope this article was helpful.
