Rune Path
Mid laners are support and move agents. They work alongside ADC’s(Attack Damage Carry) to take down enemies. Mid laners are played with a brute force in one direction, or simply we can say thrust in a particular direction.
Ability Power(AP)1 Rune For Mid Laners

When it comes to Ability Power, we need runes that have a high shatter potential. This can be obtained by Domination Path. When this is combined with Inspiration, they deal higher damage.
They also provide necessary resources to counter the poke damage coming from enemies. If you want to increase sustain you can either go for Sudden Impact or it’s great alternative Taste of Blood.
Attack Damage(AD) Rune For Mid Laners

As the AP Rune we can follow along with Domination Path as the playstyle is somewhat the same for both categories. For Second option you choose Precision as it helps in easier takedowns.
This rune also helps champions like Talon and Zed from the Ultimate Hunter rune, so they can spam their ultimate more often.
Ability Power(AP)2 Rune

Players need to have good damage burst from the beginning, poke, and overall dominance over the opponent. AP dealers need to go with the Sorcery path to gain more poke damage and CDR. As the second choice go with Inspiration.
With Sorcery, get Phase Rush, Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch. For Inspiration go with Biscuit Delivery, Time Warp, Tonic. Additional Stats include +9 Adaptive Force+9 Adaptive Force+6 Armor.
Ability Power(AP) 1 | Attack Damage(AD) | Ability Power(AP)2 |
Domination Path | Domination Path | Sorcery path |

Wave Control
Wave Control and clearance is very important in early and later stages of the game. With controlling you need to know how to do it effectively with mid-lane champions. Given below are two ways with which you can clear waves and push through,
Slow Pushing
In slow push you have to you just play slow and wait for the enemies to clear and then move towards the next tower. Here you need to build at least 2 to 3 waves before crashing in the tower. This is very helpful in the early game.
If the enemy is hard pushing you, and you are in a slow push you will easily dominate them in the early game. As you use minions as your shield and they do so much damage that you don’t have to worry.
Hard Pushing
Here you just spam your abilities and clear your way to the next tower. This type of attack is suggested when you are in a higher level like 8 or 9. As in lower levels you won’t be able to clear waves on your own.
When you clear a wave with hard push you get enough time to roam around, get more vision and clear enemies. This is very helpful in the later stages of the game as you have more time to understand your surroundings.
We will keep updating this guide with the final release of Vex.
