Elden ring is all set to release on 25th February 2022 and players can’t seem to wait. With a lot of new content being released for players to look at, the hype surrounding the game is at an all-time high.
Players who got the chance to play the game are already singing its praise. But as with any Souls-like game, the talk about the game’s difficulty is sure to be brought up. So let’s take a look at whether Elden Ring would have the option to change the difficulty.

The Difficulty Debate
Even with highly acclaimed titles like the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, and Sekiro under their belt, FromSoftware has always faced criticism regarding the difficulty of their games.
One side of the argument stems from the accessibility of the game with players demanding an easier mode so that players of all skill levels are able to enjoy the game as they are known for being very difficult.
Players that are in support of these games having an option of choosing the difficulty of the game often feel like the developers are killing their potential player base as the game seems very inaccessible to many new gamers.
On the other hand, developers have stated that they want the experience to be the same for everyone, and having an option to lower the difficulty will ruin many of the game’s high moments you get after overcoming a difficult challenge
So will Elden Ring Have an easy mode
Even after being criticized for years, the developers have not budged with their take on the difficulty in these games and it seems like that won’t change with the release of Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Director Hidetaka Miyazaki has confirmed that Elden Ring will not have difficult options in his recent interview with Famitsu as he believes that players would be more tactical with their approach and look for new ways if they get stuck instead of just lowering the difficulty. So players who were hoping for an easy mode in EldenRing are sure to be left disappointed.
