Netflix is planning to make at least 50 Games by the End of 2022

Netflix is one of the world’s biggest content streaming platforms across the World. The company was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph and since its release, it has beaten humongous Cable TV Networks that reigned across the globe when it came to Entertainment viewership.

There are a lot of competitors in the streaming world now like Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hotstar, HBO Max, SonyLIV, etc. But even if this is true, no one can argue the fact that Netflix led to the rise of on-demand streaming in the first place. Being able to watch TV Shows or Movies whenever you want instead of having to make your schedule around the time movies will be played on TV was made popular by Netflix and it was an essential part of the platform’s initial marketing.

While Netflix has recently suffered a significant amount of loss because of losing 700,000+ Subscribers since they pulled out of Russia and also losing their stock value, they have made a variety of gains and leads pm different branches of Entertainment. In this article, we will discuss one of these.

Netflix has been testing the ground with Gaming on its platform for a while now. They’ve already released a game related to Stranger Things, an original Netflix Series, on phones. And they released a set of Netflix Choice Phones for the users as well. With all of this going on, the platform has announced a piece of amazing news recently.

Netflix has announced that they are planning to release 50 games by the end of 2022. These are most likely going to be Mobile Games related to various Netflix Original Series. The platform is now in full swing with their interest in Gaming and it is looking to increase their reach from Entertainment to Gaming as well.

While this has led to excitement among the fans, there have been some downsides to these as well. For example, Dead by Daylight, an asymmetrical Horror Game owned a license for Stranger Things where they had Nancy, Steve, and Demogorgon as characters in their game with a map design for Hawkins National Laboratory. But, due to Netflix coming to Gaming itself, the license was pulled back and the players had to bid adieu to the beloved characters.

Nonetheless, people around the world are excited to see what Netflix brings to the table when it comes to gaming and how they’re going to price their services for the same. That is all for Netflix’s recent gaming news.
